The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) does not currently record attempts by illegal migrants to enter Ukraine from Belarus, speaker of the SBGS Andriy Demchenko stated in the comment for Interfax-Ukraine.

"We do not record any attempts by groups of illegal migrants to get from Belarus into Ukraine as of this moment," Demchenko stated.

According to him, the SBGS takes into account the situation on the border of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Belarus, where a large number of illegal migrants are trying to follow from Belarus to the EU.

"We, of course, do not rule out that these flows can be redirected towards Ukraine. We all take this into account in our official activities," Demchenko explains.

As it was reported on November 8, Belarusian journalists have published a video of a large crowd of migrants heading to the Polish border. It is noted that, according to preliminary estimates, several hundred refugees were heading for the border. Among the migrants were children.

In this regard, the Ministry of Defense of Poland has increased the level of combat readiness of troops. Currently, more than 12,000 soldiers are on duty at the border, they are in a state of combat readiness. At the same time, migrants claim that their ultimate goal is not Poland, but Germany.
