Bombings in Pakistan kill at least 40, about 100 wounded

Currently no terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack

Four explosions occurred in three major cities of Pakistan today, at least 40 people were killed and about 100 were wounded, according to AP.

"A suicide bomber was involved in the first car bombing near the office of the provincial police chief in the southwestern city of Quetta that killed at least 12 people and wounded 20," the message reads.

However, two blasts hit a crowded market in a Shiite-dominated city in Parachinar. 24 people were killed, mostly minority Shiite Muslims.

The third attack took place in the port city of Karachi. Police officers at a roadside restaurant suffered the attack, four people were killed.

As it is noted, the terrorist acts come a few days before the Muslim holiday of Eid-al-Fitr, which ends the holy month of Ramadan.
