Around thirty people suffered bullet wounds

Militants of the Islamic extremist group Boko Haram attacked a village in Cameroon, killing eight people and kidnapping fifteen, as the Voice of America reports.

According to the media, the attackers burned some thirty houses in Gakara village, just outside the town of Kolofata, which had been an object of frequent attacks by the insurgents.

“The attack happened around midnight. The Boko Haram assailants arrived. They set 32 houses on fire ... killed, pillaged, and traumatized the population," said a district official.

The government source also informed that thirty people suffered bullet wounds in the attack.

Since the beginning of the terror activity by Boko Haram, over 20,000 people have been killed.
