The search and rescue activities concerning the wreck of the vessel, which sank near the coast of Samsun Province, do continue; the Turkish coastal guard found the bodies of three out of four Ukrainian sailors who died in the results of the crash. Andriy Sybyga, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey reported that on Twitter.
“The Turkish rescuers found two bodies of the deceased in such complicated weather conditions; the identification procedure will take place soon. The consul works at the site in Samsun,” Sybyga claimed.
Earlier he reported about another deceased Ukrainian.
Previously, a cargo ship under Panama flag, which came from the Russian port of Azov, sent a distress signal 148 km (92 miles) away from the north-eastern Black Sea province Samsun. It was noted that four Ukrainians died as a result, seven more were rescued. According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the tragedy happened due to a wave hit.
Later the names of the sailors who survived in a boat crash in Turkey were announced.
