Tonight in Istanbul night club unknown people in costumes of Santa Clauses opened fire at a party on the occasion of the New Year. Nearly 40 people killed among them are a lot of foreigners. Nearly 70 people were injured, some of them in critical condition.

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry checks whether there are Ukrainians among the victims, also opened a hotline. At the same time, the Foreign Ministry said that the police did not disclose the nationality of the victims.

The terrorists managed to escape - some official sources state that they were later eliminated, others - that they are still on the run.

In the New Year's Eve in the popular Istanbul's Reina nightclub, which is located on the European shore of the Bosphorus, at the party gathered about 700 people. Eyewitnesses noted that the club was packed to overflowing.

At one-thirty at night a man in Santa Claus costume entered the club. According to some reports, there are two or even three attackers. They took Kalashnikov rifles and started shooting. According to some reports, the attackers shouted "Allahu akbar" and talking in Arabic. However, it is also not confirmed. It also reported that the assailant had time to change clothes after the shooting of people.
