From December 27, 2017 mobile complexes of biometric control will work in places where there is a potential opportunity to illegally cross the border. This was announced by adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Zoryan Shkiryak on his Facebook page.
"From December 27, 2017 mobile complexes of biometric control will be put into operation in the places of probable illegal border crossing by lawbreakers and smugglers," he wrote.
In addition, he recalled that as of January 1, 2018, Russian citizens who intend to cross the border with Ukraine will leave fingerprints and the entire set of biometric data.
Earlier Zoryan Shkiryak noted that on the border of Ukraine with Russia 157 checkpoints were equipped with a system of biometric control.
We recall, on September 1, 2017, President Petro Poroshenko put into effect the decision of the NSDC, which introduced a system for fixing biometric data of persons at the border. The decree says that the government should ensure the beginning of functioning from January 1, 2018, the national system of biometric verification and identification.
