Biden expects to meet with Putin in June

US President Joe Biden has confirmed that he expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Europe in June. During a briefing at the White House, he stated this, answering questions from journalists.

"Yes, I hope and expect," Biden said when reporters asked whether he expected to meet with Putin during his trip to Europe in June.

As it was reported earlier, US President Joe Biden called his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin. The two leaders discussed a number of regional and global issues, including the growing military presence near the border of Ukraine. Besides, the U.S. leader offered Putin to hold a summit in a third country. 

And the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the Ukrainian side should participate in a possible meeting between US President Joe Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin if they are going to raise the issue of Ukraine. 

It became known later that U.S. President Joe Biden intends to raise the issue of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine at the summit with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin.
