Belgian company to build powerful solar electric plant in Zhytomyr region

Upgrade Energy, the Belgian company plans to construct a powerful solar plant in Zhytomyr region, northern Ukraine. This was mentioned in the message on the website of Zhytomyr state regional administration.

'So nice of this company to visit the market of Ukraine's solar energy and specifically that of Zhytomyr region', governor Ihor Gundych said.

The plant will be built on the premises of Melenivsky rural council, Korosten' District, Zhytomyr region. It is to create 45 new jobs.

The rated capacity of the station amounts to 25-30 Megawatts.

Vermiere Raf, the CEO of Upgrade Energy said it was his first experience investing into Ukraine. 

The plant is to be ready within the next two years.
