Belarus is going to deport the detained correspondents of the Nastoyashcheye Vremya TV channel, the channel said.

"Staff correspondents of the TV channel "Nastoyaschye Vremya"- Iryna Romaliyska, Yuri Baranyuk and Ivan Hrebenyuk were detained at ‘Minsk’ hotel, in the capital of Belarus, in the afternoon of August 7. In the evening, they are going to be deported," the message says.

Romaliyska and Hrebenyuk are citizens of Ukraine, Baranyuk is a citizen of Russia. The phones of the three detainees and Nastoyaschye Vremya's own correspondent in Belarus, Roman Vasyukovich, are currently blocked. According to preliminary information, the detention is related to the accreditation status of three journalists.

As we reported before, the staff correspondents of the Nastoyaschye Vremya TV channel - Irina Romaliyska, Yuri Baranyuk and Ivan Hrebenyuk were detained at the Minsk hotel in the capital of Belarus.

"According to our information, they are being taken to the Moskovskiy police department of Minsk. The reason for their detention at this moment is unknown," the message says.
