This year, the Belarusian government intends to start the production of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus. Dmytro Pinevych, the Acting Healthcare Minister said so on the air of Belarus 1 TV channel. Interfax quoted him as saying.
"In the lab conditions, the first batch will appear already this year, I'm sure. Maybe not on the facilities of Belmedpreparaty (state-run drug company, - 112 International), on a different enterprise. But this is going to happen this year", Pinevych said.
According to the official, next year, the authority plans to launch the full-fledged production within the industrial scale.
On Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin told G20 leaders that his country was ready to provide the vaccine for other countries that need it. Earlier this month, it became known that the Russian Healthcare Ministry released the first batch of Sputnik-V vaccine for public use.
