Belarus will release its coronavirus vaccine in 2023, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko declared, according to BELTA.
"We acted wisely when we agreed that we would release our vaccine, which we already have in a test tube, in 2023," Lukashenko said.
As it was reported earlier, in March President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called on Belarusian scientists to create the best vaccine against Covid-19, saying that the development of Belarus' own vaccine is a matter of honor for the Healthcare Ministry and the National Academy of Sciences.
In December of 2020, Belarus' Healthcare Ministry has announced the beginning of the population's vaccination against coronavirus with the Russian vaccine - Sputnik V.
In March Belarusians have started vaccinating against coronavirus with the Chinese vaccine Sinopharm.
