Russia and Belarus agreed to extradite detainees

32 Russians detained in Belarus, who are believed to be members of the Wagner PMC, were extradited to their homeland. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation reports.

"In accordance with the petition of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Krasnov, in the manner prescribed by the Minsk Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases, 32 citizens of the Russian Federation who were previously detained on the territory of Belarus have crossed the state border of the Russian Federation and now time are on the territory of Russia," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.

The Russian prosecutor's office noted that the 33rd detained citizen of Russia, who also has Belarusian citizenship, remained on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

"The transfer of these persons was carried out in strict accordance with the norms of international law and national legislation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, in close cooperation of the prosecution authorities of our countries," the Russian prosecutor's office explained.

It is also reported that the competent authorities of the Russian Federation will continue to deal with the situation around these citizens.

As we reported before, the Russian Federation believes that it will succeed to regulate with Belarus the detention of 33 mercenaries of Wagner group near Minsk.
