The occupancy of beds for patients with Covid-19 in Kyiv, as well as in Lviv and Chernivtsi regions exceeds 50%. This was stated at a briefing by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxym Stepanov.
According to the minister, in general, in Ukraine, the occupancy of beds in hospitals for patients with Covid-19 is 24%. At the same time, in Kyiv, this levely is 52%, in Ivano-Frankivsk region - 48.8%, Lviv - 52.8%, Chernivtsi - 52.4%.
In Ukraine, for the third day in a row, a record number of people infected with coronavirus is reported. So, over the past day, 1847 new cases of infection were discovered. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 89,719 people have fallen ill in the country, 2044 have died. In the last day alone, 33 people with a diagnosis of Covid-19 have died. 47 430 people recovered.
The first batch of the Covid-19 vaccine was produced in Russia, as RBC reports with reference to the Ministry of Health.
It is noted that the vaccine was developed by the N.N. Gamalei of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
This is a combined vector vaccine with the working name "Gam-COVID-Vac" (market name "Sputnik-V"), intended for intramuscular administration. It consists of two 0.5 ml ampoules - with the first and second components of the vaccine.
