Illegal mask exporter is facing severe punishment

Any attempt to circumvent the law to export medical masks will be severely punished. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated this during a briefing, which was broadcast by the 112 Ukraine TV channel.

He also refuted the words of the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Peter Pellegrini, who said the day before that Ukraine was ready to sell two million masks and requested payment in cash, but the reseller intercepted the order from Germany.

“If Slovakia planned to do this, it planned to do so bypassing the law. We checked all the databases, including customs, we held consultations at all levels, and did not find any signs of selling medical masks abroad. Thus, I refute this statement that caused so much noise yesterday," - he said.

As we reported before, the government of Ukraine published the regulation, which bans the visit of the educational institutions and holding of mass events to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Regulation #211 dated March 11, 2020, published on the governmental portal.

“In accordance with the article 29 of the Law of Ukraine On Protection of the population from the infectious diseases to prevent the spread in the territory of Ukraine of coronavirus Covid-19 and considering the decision of the State Commission on technogeneous and ecological security and emergency dated March 10, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers ordered to initiate the quarantine from March 12 until April 3, 2020,” the message said.
