In Bulgaria, a 29-year-old citizen of Pazardzhik gave birth to a child with antibodies to coronavirus, as Radio Bulgaria reported.
It is specified that during the pregnancy, a woman was hospitalized with a high fever and cough. A woman was diagnosed with coronavirus.
Due to the disease, the doctors made a decision to perform the c-section because the virus caused changes in the placenta and slowed the development of the fetus.
The surgery was held successfully. A baby was born with 2.75 kg of weight and 46 cm in height.
The newborn had a test for antigen that showed the presence of antibodies to Covid-19. A child is healthy and soon be discharged from the hospital with mother.
As we reported, vaccination against coronavirus has begun in 46 countries. Moreover, 38 of them are high-income countries.
