Avdiivka left without electricity supply

Over 24,000 of consumers were left without power supply

Avdiivka, Donetsk region and five settlements of Yasynuvata area were cut off electricity as the State Emergency Service reported.

“On January 3, the dispatch of the rescue service received a message that due to the holding of the restoration works at the transmission line VL-110 kw, the power supply of Avdiivka and five settlements of Yasynuvata area was stopped,” the message said.

It is reported that 24,000 of consumers were left without electricity.

It is planned to finish the works on January 4.

Two mobile power plants with capacity of 80 and 40 kW work to provide the work of the critical infrastructure of Avdiivka.

Particularly, the forces and means of the Chief Department provided the electricity to the military and civilian administration of Avdiivka, pension fund, Ukrtelekom, National Police department, ambulance and pumping station of the heating supply.

The Emergency Service noted that the absence of electricity does not influence the heating supply of the population. The drinking water comes to the citizens by flow under gravity.

Earlier, more than 80,000 dwellers of Luhansk region were cut off from the regular water supplies. This is due to fact that Luhansk Energy Union cut the water utility company, Lysychansk Water Channel, off the grid because of the debts.
