In connection with the shooting in Mukachevo on February 7, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov ordered the special forces of the National Police and the National Guard to be sent to the city. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports this information on Facebook.

“Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov shares the concern of the local authorities about the criminal situation in the region and gave the order to strengthen security measures. In particular, operational officers, as well as Special Forces of the police and the National Guard of Ukraine, were involved in operational preventive testing in the city,” - the statement said.

Police find out the circumstances of the shooting in Mukachevo, a special operation is being conducted. An investigation and operational group is working at the scene.

The search for firing culprits continues.

There was a shootout of two men on the off-road vehicles in Mukachevo, Zakarpattya region, at about 10 a.m. February 7. Two people were injured.

As we reported, workers of Ukraine's State Border Guard detained a group of illegal migrants in Zakarpattya region, westernmost Ukraine. The incident occurred in Goronglab in Berehove district.
