On Friday, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov and the Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Larisa Galadza discussed a strategic project. The main objective of the project is to improve security in Ukraine by supporting local strategic reform through the development of the police. The parties also discussed joint counteraction to drug trafficking, liberalization of the visa regime with Canada, as well as cooperation in the field of reforming the National Police and the National Guard.
As we reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hopes Canada will gradually liberalize the visa regime for Ukrainians. He stated this during a telephone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
