The lockdown in Austria is extended until January 24, a week longer than it was planned, as Ukrinform reported.
It is noted that the facilities of trade, service sphere, food services, and tourism had to renew work from January 18 but only people who participated in free-of-charge mass testing held before the end of lockdown and got negative result could visit these places.
However, all facilities will remain close until January 24 as the authorities failed to agree on the modality of holding of testing for coronavirus.
Besides, the issue was unsolved on the authorities of employees who would check people for the negative results of the test during visits to museums or cafes.
The strict lockdown has started to act in Austria on December 26.
As we reported, due to the spread of coronavirus infection, the Italian authorities tightened restrictions on Christmas and New Year holidays and introduced a nationwide quarantine.
In the period from December 24 to January 6, the country introduced "red zone" quarantine rules. On these days, movement between the regions will be prohibited, you can only go outside for the work reason, play sports near your home and if necessary.
