An explosive device blasted in the car of Andriy Prokuror, the worker of criminal police of Odesa region, southern Ukraine. The incident took place in the town of Izmail, Odesa region, on Sunday evening in the courtyard where the car was parked at the time.

The shattered window glass wounded the serviceman’s wife and daughter, while he himself was not injured at all.

A source in the local police reports that the explosive device was not powerful enough to kill anyone; ‘if all family members were in the car no one would have suffered at all’, the source said, assuming it was apparently an attempt to intimidate the serviceman.

The investigation into the incident is underway; the perpetrators are on the wanted list.
