On the night of January 22 train derailed in India. 13 of 22 train cars were crashed as a result. 36 casualties were reported, yet more than 50 people received injuries. The number of victims continues to grow, according to BBC.

As it was reported, the train derailed near Kuneru station in Vizianagaram district, the head of East Coast Railway, JP Mishra, said.

Causes of the accident are being established, the authorities promised to pay compensation to the bereaved families.

The injured were taken to two nearby hospitals.
