At least 30 people became victims of the blast in Villepinte, the suburb of Paris. Several people are in critical condition, Daily Star reports.
Sources in the local authorities say it is an accident; no definition of it as a ‘terrorist act’ was offered, as of 10 p.m. Saturday. An effigy made of straw and wood was being burned, Le Parisien reported; several people were harmed by debris and emergency services rushed to the scene.
Firemen, medics and rescue teams are working at the site.
