No more than 20% of Ukraine's population is immune to Covid-19. The relevant study was conducted by the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE).

"No more than 20% of Ukrainians have immunity to the disease, 40% of intensive care beds are occupied. Ukraine, the country with one of the lowest rates of new cases, is still among the top five countries with the most critical situation with Covid-19 in Europe due to a high amount of positive cases among all tested - 18%," the statement said.

According to the simulation of the KSE, approximately 13-20% of people in Ukraine have already contracted Covid-19. Considering the fact that herd immunity requires at least 70%, it is too early to talk about the country's herd immunity.

As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers has banned the registration and use in the territory of Ukraine of any medical immunobiological drugs from the coronavirus developed or produced in Russia.

The supply and check of the vaccine of other producers are regulated by the agreements signed by Ukraine within the COVAX mechanism.
