In the Somali capital Mogadishu, near the port there was an explosion of a truck,  detonated by a suicide bomber. 29 people were killed, reported Reuters.

A huge explosion was heard throughout the city.

Terrorist group "Al-Shabab" has claimed responsibility for the explosion, placing the appropriate application on their account in the Telegram. According to the terrorists, their  purpose was a military base near the port.

The radical Islamist group "Al-Shabab" ("Movement of Young Mujahideen"), which has close links with the international terrorist organization "Al Qaeda", is based in Somalia.

"Al-Shabab" is leading an armed struggle against the central government of the country  and preventing the UN humanitarian activities there. The group entered the list of terrorist organizations of the US in 2008, sanctions against it were immediately imposed in the country.
