The searches of five sailors from Arvin, the recently sunken ship are underway. Oleg Nikolenko, the spokesman of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry reported that on Monday, January 18.
"Helicopters of the Coast Guard and the Navy of Turkey departed for the operation site. The rescued Ukrainians feel fine; they can be discharged from hospital today", reads the message.
The press office of the Cabinet reported that as of early January 18, the bodies of three deceased sailors were found. They are being identified.
On January 17, dry cargo ship Arvin sunk off the coast of Turkey, in the Black Sea. According to the reports, the disaster took place near the town of Bartin. Ukraine's Foreign Ministry reported that 10 Ukrainians and two foreign citizens were aboard. Six people were saved.
