Kyiv Metro and National Art Museum of Ukraine are to introduce an Eneyida train, which will present the poem by Ivan Kotlyarevsky in pictures, as the press-service of Kyiv Metro informs.
50 information banners which are to be placed on the train will tell about the artistic interpretations and context of creation of Eneyida.
Eneyida train is a part of the interdisciplinary project Eneyida, created in cooperaton with Pavlo Gudimov art-centre I Gallery.
“The exhibition gathered around 200 tokens from private collections and 11 Ukrainian museums, showing visuals of Kotlyarevsky's poem.
Eneyida by Ivan Kotlyarevsky is considered to be the first literary work published wholly in the modern Ukrainian language. Kotlyarevsky took the plot of Virgil’s Aeneid to create a literary work describing Ukrainian Cossacks in a mock-heroic style.
