Over 100 people were killed, 18 civilians among them, on Mindanao island in Philippines during fight between Armed Forces units and ISIS militants, which has continued since May 24. This was reported by DW.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Philippines, 18 people among the victims are civilians, 13 are military and 4 police officers.
As it was reported, clashes are taking place for Marawi City, which was captured earlier by Abu Sayyaf Islamic group. Islamists hung ISIS flags in many parts of the city. Government forces are trying to clear the city from Islamists and use aviation against them. According to latest data, they managed to eliminate 61 terrorists.
