In the center of Lutsk (Western Ukraine), a man has hijacked a bus with hostages, carrying explosives and weapons. Police closed the city center off and introduced an operational plan "Hostage". This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"Lutsk. A man has hijacked a bus with hostages in the center of the city, he possesses explosives and weapons. An operational plan ‘Hostage’ has been introduced in the region. The territory of the city center is blocked to ensure the safety of citizens. All police services are currently working in the city," the statement said.
It is now known that the man has already set out his conditions. Negotiations are underway. According to the police, the man constantly writes about "dissatisfaction with the system in Ukraine" on his social media.
As we reported earlier, on July 18, an unknown device exploded in a garbage can at the entrance to the Shulyavska metro station in Kyiv.
One man was injured, he immediately received medical assistance. The station's windows were damaged as well.
