The roof of a five-story apartment building in the city of Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, caught fire. Rescuers are working on the spot, the press center of the State Emergency Service (SES) reports.
Information about the fire arrived at 14:40. Seven fire fighting and rescue units of the region and 25 employees work on the spot.
"People were evacuated from the house, no casualties were found. The fire was localized at 16:16. Extinguishing continues," the State Emergency Situations said in a statement.
The local edition of Nova Kakhovka City, referring to social networks, writes that at first, the fire occurred in one of the apartments, then the flame spread to the slate roof.
According to unconfirmed information, the apartment was set on fire by a man who quarreled with his wife.
