The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court arrested Andriy Balony, the head of the Kirovograd Regional State Administration, who was fired yesterday for two months with an alternative to making a pledge for the head of the Regional State Administration in the amount of almost $375,000. The press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reports that.

"So, the court partially granted the request of the prosecutor and detectives and applied preventive measures to the suspects in the form of detention with an alternative to depositing bail for the head of the Regional State Administration in the amount of almost $375,000, for his accomplice - $187,500," the SAP said in a statement.

During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the officials proposed to one of the leaders of the state authority in the region to provide them with $68,000 of undue benefits for the imperfection of actions aimed at obstructing his official activities.

The head of the Regional State Administration and his accomplice were detained after they received the second part of the agreed sum, namely $9,000. Previously, they received the first tranche of money - $3,500.
