One of the leaders of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic” died in the occupied Donetsk Vladimir Makovich, the acting Head of the so-called “Supreme Council of DNR”. The “Donbas News” reported that citing one of the former heads of the so-called “DNR Foreign Ministry” Boris Borisov.

"Makovich died in Donetsk. If somebody doesn’t know, this is the person who read the “declaration of the state independence of the DNR” to people on April 7, 2014,” he stated.

Makovich is also famous for reading an appeal to Rinat Akhmetov in May 2014 after he described four possible scenarios of developments in Donbas and called “DNR” impostors who captured the whole region.

Makovich was arrested by the militants in July 2014.
