Archaeologists have discovered an ancient burial site, as well as bone, ceramic and clay products of different periods in Pereiaslav. This was reported by one of the Ukrainian TV channels.

Excavations were carried out on the site of the future store, the area of which is 15 by 15 meters. This area has the status of an archaeological site of national importance. That is why the archaeologists were involved.

Four ancient burials were found in the northeastern part of the excavation: two of them belonging to adults, others - to a teenage girl and an infant. One of the adult burials was partially damaged during the Soviet post-war period when a sewer pipe was laid from a neighboring high-rise building. All burials were conducted according to the Christian rite - the heads were placed toward the west,” Candidate of Historical Sciences Oleksandr Priadko stated.
