State concern “Ukroboronprom” has conducted an official investigation into the maintenance of the An-26 plane that crashed in Chuhuiv on September 25. According to its results, there were no irregularities and violations during the repair of the plane.
It was announced by Ihor Fomenko, the head of the concern, RBC-Ukraine reports.
According to him, the engine of the plane was repaired by Motor Sich.
"We inspected the 410th Civil Aviation Plant, which was engaged in gliders and avionics, immediately after the tragedy. Internal investigations were conducted, certain conclusions were made about technological processes. According to the results of internal official investigations, no violations were revealed regarding the processes and employees of this plant," the statement said.
As we reported earlier, on September 25, at about 20:50 near the military airport of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region, a military aircraft AN-26 fell and caught fire.
Rescue work was carried out by 70 people of the State Emergency Situations Service. According to preliminary estimates of flight safety specialists, one of the sensors in the left engine of the aircraft failed.
On October 21, seven crew members of the flight posthumously received the Exemplary Service Badge.
