Today, September 4, US Air Force Boeing B-52 military aircraft entered Ukrainian airspace for the first time. The press service of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The department noted that American strategic bombers are escorting fighters from the tactical aviation brigades of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Su-27 and MiG-29.
“On the morning of September 4, the bombers took off from the Ferford airbase in the UK, flew over the territory of Europe, where they were accompanied by fighters of the air forces of NATO countries and key partners of the Alliance. Ukrainian military pilots met B-52 on the Polish border, escorted through Ukraine to the coast of the Azov Sea and in the opposite direction," the message says.
Patrolling is planned for NATO countries and partners. It is likely that such cooperation in the field of collective security will continue in the future.
