Amazon executives have instructed their employees to remove the TikTok application from all devices that have access to corporate mail, as Yevropeiska Pravda reports, referring to The New York Times and Vice.
It is also reported that the company supposedly disconnects all devices on which TikTok will be installed from corporate mail. However, Amazon employees can use the version of the social network for the browser; the ban applies only to the application.
Amazon explained the ban on the application as "security risks."
At the same time, ByteDance, which is the developer of TikTok, does not understand Amazon's concerns and adds that company representatives did not contact them.
As we reported before, CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Amazon Jeff Bezos, CEO of Apple Tim Cook and CEO of Google Sundar Pichai will testify at the Congress session in Julyю
Member of Democratic Party David Cicilline confirmed information about mistrust hearing to the journalist.
The House Judiciary Committee requested all four CEOs to come to the hearing, and subpoenas will oblige them to attend the Senate. Earlier, all of the CEOs, except Apple’s CEO confirmed their attendance if Tim Cook would come. Later, Tim Cook also confirmed his presence.
