Almost every third enterprise closed in Ukraine due to quarantine

In Ukraine, amid the quarantine, 29% domestic firms stopped their activity, while 6% completely closed off their business as Opendatabot reported.

Some branches of business are left without income: entertaining and transport business. The companies, which continue to work, lose money sharply and reduce the staff.

One-third of business owners, mostly at the microlevel, spot the drop in income at 90-100% since the beginning of quarantine. These enterprisers dismissed up to 50% of the staff.

The owners of small and medium business tell about falling incomes by 25-50% in comparison with the period of time before quarantine and dismissed from 10 up to 25% of staff.

The large enterprises lose 10-25% of incomes; the reduction of the staff at the level of 25% is predicted until the end of restrictive measures.

Moreover, the number of vacancies has reduced in the labor market.

According to Work.ua, in two weeks, the number of vacancies reduced by 1.8 times. In 2.5 times, the number of new posts on the exploration of new workers reduced.

As we reported, the number of coronavirus cases in Ukraine has increased to 1,462 cases. Ukraine observed 45 deaths, 28 patients successfully recovered. Over the last 24 hours, 143 new cases have been recorded.

On March 25, the Cabinet of Ministers extended quarantine for 30 days, up to April 24. Besides, the state border was completely closed on March 28.
