Almost half a million Ukrainians legally work in Poland

According to the representative of Poland's social insurance, the majority of those employed are citizens of Ukraine

483 000 legally working Ukrainians are registered in Poland. It is reported by Radio Poland.

According to the representative of the social insurance institution Wojciech Andrusiewicz, the number of legally employed foreigners in the Polish market is growing, and most of them are Ukrainians.

“Of course, most of them, 483 thousand, are citizens of Ukraine. The next national group is already more than ten times smaller. We are talking about citizens of Belarus, who consist within 38 thousand. Next we have Georgians - about 9.5 thousand, and then Moldovans and Russian citizens - more than 8 thousand, " said the representative.

Andrusevich added that Poland is a fairly capacious market, unfilled jobs remain at a constant level - more than 140 000. Polish companies in the future want to employ foreigners, primarily workers from Ukraine.

Iit was previously reported that from the beginning of 2019, 216 Ukrainians moved to permanent residence in Poland.

In the first half of 2019, Ukrainians traveled to Poland almost 5 million times, but the number of refusals to cross the border increased by 12% compared to last year.
