Almost 70% of hospital beds for Covid-19 treatment occupied in Ukraine

In Ukraine, hospital beds for patients infected with coronavirus are occupied by 68.4%, 33,919 beds are already being used. This is evidenced by data provided by the Ministry of Health.

The worst situation is observed in Donetsk and Luhansk regions – beds in these regions are 100% full. High occupancy rates are also observed in Odesa (96.6%), Sumy (88.7%), and Vinnytsia (80.2%) regions.

Less than 50% of hospital beds are occupied in only two regions - Kirovohrad (49.2%) and Zhytomyr (49.8%).

As we reported earlier, the Center for Public Health predicts that Ukraine will face the peak of the epidemic of viral diseases in late November.

"We expect the peak of the epidemic to be in late November because it is usually the peak period for all viral infections," the statement said.

As of the morning of October 20, 309,107 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Ukraine.

It is reported that there is no region in Ukraine ready to mitigate quarantine restrictions as all of them showcase excessive Covid-19 incidence.
