Over half of Ukrainians support the purchase of the vaccine against the coronavirus from Russia as Robotic TeleSystems reported after opinion surveys held from October 9 up to October 12, 2020.
The respondents were asked: “It is known that Russian confirmed the possibility of supply to Ukraine of the vaccine against coronavirus. The opinions in Ukrainians divided on this issue. In your opinion, is it necessary to purchase the vaccine from Russia now or it is necessary to wait until another country starts to produce it?”.
Almost 60% of the respondents answered that Ukraine should purchase the Russian vaccine. 29.5% of people answered negatively; while 11.1% were unsure.
On August 11, President of Russia Vladimir Putin reported that the first vaccine against coronavirus was registered in Russia.
The vaccine would be produced by N. F. Gamaleya Federal Research Center for Epidemiology & Microbiology and the Russian Binnopharm Company. According to Murashko, finalizing takes place of the technical regulations for scaling of production at the number of Russian productions.
However, the WHO doubted the safety of the Russian vaccine against Covid-19.
Earlier, the Health Ministry of Russia released to the civil circulation the first batch of Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus.
