479 inahbited localities across Ukraine are cut off the grid, the State Emergency Service reported.
'479 settlements in ten regions left without electricity due to the worsened weather conditions, the rain, snow and the wind gusts', the message of the press office said.
The agency specified that most of the cases are observed in Dnipropetrovsk region and Poltava region; many households are also cut off the grid in Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, Donetsk, Chernihiv and Mykolaiv regions; these are mostly the central, eastern and southeastern regions of Ukraine.
The emergency rescue teams are working to restore the usual order of work of power lines in the affected towns and villages.
Snowfalls and wind gusts are observed on most of Ukraine's territory on Wednesday, December 26. Typically, that affects the road traffic and the work of certain infrastructure objects.
