Almost 4,500 Ukrainians, who stuck at the border without vehicles, were returned home as the State Border Guard Service reported.

“The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine constantly follows the situation at the state border, including the work for the provision of the Ukrainians' return home as they were at the adjacent side without vehicles. The border guard service ensured the work with the local government bodies of Ukraine on the involvement of the vehicles for transfer,” the message said.

The border guards provided the transfer of the Ukrainians through the checkpoints Yahodyn (Volyn region), Rava-Ruska and Krakovets (Lviv region), Uzhhorod, Tysa, Vilok (Zakarpattia).

The spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service stated that the passenger traffic at the state border has significantly reduced as 112 Ukraine reported. Generally, the passenger traffic reduced to 105,000 on both sides.

“There are almost 41,000 Ukrainians, including 25,000 people for entrance to Ukraine. If we consider the foreigners, mainly, they left Ukraine. As starting from March 16, the entrance to Ukraine for foreigners was restricted; 83 foreigners were not allowed to enter our country. On the first day, almost 400 people were not allowed to enter it,” Demchenko said.

The trucks with goods move through the border but there are some delays.

On March 17, Ukraine blocked all types of traffic across the state border as part of measures to combat the Covid-2019 epidemic.
