2, 776 citizens of Russia immigrated to Ukraine in 2017 as the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.

According to the Statistics Service, the Russians are the leaders among the foreigners who moved for permanent residency to Ukraine. The citizens of Turkey take the second place as 239 of them moved to Ukraine and Moldova occupied the third place with 209 people. Totally, 4, 027 foreigners moved to Ukraine in 2017.

Earlier we reported that Ukraine is most visited by the citizens of Moldova, Belarus and Russia. Among foreigners, the citizens of Moldova come to Ukraine most often. In 2017 Moldavians crossed Ukrainian border 4.5 million times. Belarusians and Russians take second and third place respectively. Poland and Hungary are placed fourth and fifth followed by Romania and Slovakia. The top ten countries include Turkey, Israel and Germany.
