As of April 2, 10,003 people died in Spain; the number of deaths set a new record during the past 24 hours – 950 people as the government of the country reported.

According to the Healthcare Ministry of Spain, the number of people infected with coronavirus makes 110,238 people. 26, 743 people recovered.

The majority of diseased stay in Madrid (32,155) and Catalonia (21,804).

Spain reached the record level of mortality from coronavirus in one day. The emergency state is extended in the country until April 11.

As we reported, the global statistics of fatal cases caused by COVID-19 is currently around 5%, which is just under five thousand cases per day. Meanwhile, the number of fatal cases in Ukraine is 2.5%.

Besides, UN Secretary-General António Guterres stated that the crisis that the coronavirus pandemic caused in the world is the worst since the Second World War.
