Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte claimed that all sorts of public events in the country will be canceled till September 1. He said so at a press conference as quoted by Voetbal International

That, in particular, concerns football games. The national football federation has not yet responded to this statement, but the decision actually means that the current season is over, ahead of the schedue. The season was supposed to be over on the schedule, the way UEFA previously recommended to do; the Association considers the option not to let the teams from the countries that ended the season early play in European cub competitions.

So far, only Belgium claimed that the season was over early due to the spread of Covid-19. Germany, on the contrary, plans to resume the games of Bundesliga on May 9. The championships in England, Italy and Spain may follow in June.

Earlier, Denys Shmygal, the Prime Minister of Ukraine claimed that the peak of coronavirus sickness rate in Ukraine is expected in the beginning of May. The head of the government was among the officials present at the conference gathered and led by the President. Shmygal addressed the build-up of the disease in the country.

"We've got to specify and tell the people when and what will be opened [after the lockdown is over], what is the clear plan of the government's actions. The peak of morbidity is expected in early May. People should understand if they can take a walk in the park, when the barber shops, lawyer offices and other kinds of business will resume working. I know that the Olympians need to practice to stay in shape. All people sjuld have clear vision of how and when the lockdown may soften", the Prime Minister said.
