As the National Police of Ukraine reported, the formation of a new unit with other employees "who will properly carry out this work" is now being completed and will soon be presented to the public.

As we reported earlier, a worker of the Department of Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) illegally kept an arsenal and drugs in his house in the Kharkiv region, northeastern Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation showed that the suspect kept an AKS-74 assault rifle, some 3,000 rounds of 5.45 mm caliber, two hand grenades, and a throwable explosive device. Besides, during the authorized search, SIB operatives found amphetamines in the total weight of 12 grams.

Thus, the SBU operative is suspected of illegal storage of firearms and explosives, without due permission; he is also suspected of purchase and storage of psychoactive substances. The culprit might face from three to seven years behind the bars.
