The mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko ordered to check on coronavirus pupils and staff of all boarding schools in Kyiv. The press service of the Kyiv State Administration, referring to the deputy Kyiv mayor Marina Honda.

"An outbreak of a coronavirus infection occurred in the Darnytsia boarding house. 81 cases were confirmed by laboratory: 53 inmates and 28 employees. Now the facility is closed for quarantine. Rescuers and police are on duty at the entrance to the territory. In connection with this, the mayor instructed to check other residential institutions of the city, which there are only eight in Kiev. Now there are no suspicions of illness in other institutions," Honda said.

According to her, the check together with the main department of the State Food and Beverage Service in Kyiv will begin on May 16. All wards and staff will be tested for coronavirus infection.

Today in the capital's boarding schools are 2108 people.

As we reported, In Kyiv, an outbreak of coronavirus was recorded at the Darnytsia boarding school for girls: 81 people got infected, both students and staff of the boarding school.
