Five unknown beat activists of a public organization in the Dnipro, - Police of the Dnipropetrovsk region the press service reported.

The head of the board of the NGO "ZMINA. Center for Human Rights" Tatyana Pechonchik clarifies on Facebook that this is the organization "Community of Active Youth - CAY.

According to Pechonchik, activists received injuries to the skull, jaw and nose. The victims removed the beatings and wrote a statement to the police. The incident occurred in the premises of the local "Enlightenment", where unknowns broke into.

She recalled that over the past five years, law enforcement authorities have not investigated “several hundred previous such attacks,” and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov remained in office anyway.

The police said that the attack on activists was qualified as hooliganism and opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of art. 296 of the Criminal Code.
