There was an accident on a gas pipeline in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, near the village of Klyuziv. No one was injured in the incident. The press service of the Gas Transmission System (GTS) Operator of Ukraine reports this.
"The GTS of Ukraine operator reports the depressurization of the 500-mm section of the Uhersko-Ivano-Frankivsk-Chernivtsi gas pipeline without ignition near the village of Klyuziv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region," the statement reads.
It is reported that the explosion occurred at 12:40 (Kyiv time). There are no victims of the incident.
There is no threat of gas supply interruption to nearby settlements, nor does this incident affect gas transit to the EU.
Currently, the damaged section of the gas pipeline is completely localized, and a repair crew is working at the scene. There is no danger for settlements nearby.
As it was reported, on May 9, an explosion occurred on the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline in the Poltava region. Local residents were warned that an emergency gas shutdown is possible. Residents of the region are asked to close the burners in case there is a shutdown. 40 people were involved in extinguishing the fire.
