Near the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine building in Kyiv the action "Hemp march" ("March of Freedom") is takung place, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

According to the report, about two hundred people have settled down near the government building with various posters: "Medical cannabis is our right", "Start scientific research" and posters depicting the leaves of cannabis.

Participants in the action call on the government to launch scientific research on cannabinoids as analgesics and other medicines; to regulate the access of Ukrainian patients to treatment with medical cannabis and preparations based on it.

Public order at the event is provided by dozens of law enforcement officers.

Earlier it was reported that in several cities in Germany, as well as in Austria and Switzerland, demonstrations for the full legalization of marijuana were held.

We recall, in March 2017 Germany allowed to use marijuana as a remedy. And already in early January 2018, the Union of German Criminal Police made a proposal to completely legalize marijuana trade, police believe that the current restrictions create the preconditions for the development of the shadow market.
