There are about 6 thousand Russian servicemen in the occupied territories of the East of Ukraine. This was stated in an interview with Radio Liberty by the official representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladyslav Selezniov.
"Up to 6,000 Russian servicemen are in the temporarily occupied territory of Donbas and up to 40,000 Russian-terrorist militants, as well as local marginals who perform tasks in the first and second army corps, which are functionally subordinate to the armed forces of the Russian Federation. In fact, they serve as occupational troops on the territory of Ukraine, "Selezniov said.
According to him, the Russian military personnel do not stop coming to the occupied territories of Donbas, including the leadership of the army.
"There are such military leaders who, at the level of the company commander and above, carry out tasks just for a certain time," the representative of the General Staff said.
As reported, more than 30 criminal cases were opened in the Russian Federation against servicemen of the Armed Forces, participated in Donbas conflict.
